Mandatory categories currently include footwear, clothing and textiles, tires, perfume, cosmetics and household chemicals, drinking water, dairy products, dietary supplements, medical devices and bicycles, and the list keeps growing every year. Start dates and requirements differ by category, so send us your product list before production and we will check it for free.

Participants in Chestny ZNAK must be Russian legal entities (usually the importer) registered with a Russian electronic signature. A Chinese factory cannot register directly, but it can apply labels before shipment using the code files we provide. We work with the Russian importer and the system; the factory only prints and applies the labels.

Chestny ZNAK uses Data Matrix codes, not ordinary QR codes. Each code is unique and contains the product GTIN, a serial number and a cryptographic check. Codes can only be issued by the system and cannot be generated yourself or reused. Label size, print quality and placement are regulated, so we provide the label layout and check print quality.

We can place the goods under the customs warehouse procedure, label them in a bonded warehouse under customs supervision and then clear them as normal. This avoids fines and re-export but adds storage time and cost, so we recommend labeling in China before shipment.

First-time setup usually takes 5–10 working days, including system registration, e-signature setup, GTIN application and product descriptions. Once the account and products are set up, codes for later shipments are usually ordered and printed within 1–2 working days. Timing depends on the category and how complete your documents are.

The full-cycle package is ¥2,000 for new clients (regular price ¥4,000) and covers system setup, label design, code issuance, customs declaration and putting goods into circulation.
